Season 2012 Women’s Official (Umpire) Accreditation

Who?
•Any club official of all age grades that is intending to umpire this season.
•Due to a large number of junior grade rule changes, all officials require reexamination.

What?
•Women’s club official (umpire) accreditation course for season 2012.
•Theory based test as well as presentations by National and International officials.

When? Where?
CENTRAL – MCC Tuesday 8th May 7 pm to 9 pm
WEST – ALTONA Monday 14th May 7 pm to 9 pm
CENTRAL – CAULFIELD Tuesday 15th May 7 pm to 9 pm
EAST – SURREY PARK Wednesday 16th May 7 pm to 9 pm

Content
The accreditation session will involve focus on rule changes, providing proper game management, positioning on the field and support to fellow officials.

Recognition
Following successful completion of the test and on field practical, each participant will receive:
• Notification from LV of their accreditation.
• Umpire Accreditation Card.

PLEASE NOTE: Any player who intends to run as a club referee in 2012 need to get ALRA Club Accreditation. Attend one of the following sessions to learn about rule changes and be tested.

Junior Training 2012
From term 2 the junior training schedule is as follows:

Tuesdays 5.30pm-6.30pm U14, U16 and U18 boys
Wednesdays 5.30-6.30pm U13, U15, U17 girls
Thursdays 5.30pm-6.30pm U12, U14, U16 and U18 boys

2012 Games commence
April 21st for U12, U14, U16 and U18 boys – fixture now on sporting pulse
April 22nd for U13, U15, U17 girls – fixture now on sporting pulse
April 28th for U10 domestic comp – all games at Eltham Lower Park at 8.30am

Combined Surrey Park/Eltham Scrimmage this Saturday

Scrimmage Matches Sat 31st Mar 11.30am
Two matches are scheduled for this Saturday following schools competition; one for U15/U17/Women and one for U16/U18′s.
Games start at 11.30am; players be at the ground for warm up by 11am.
If you’re not playing come down anyway and spectate!

Goggles Alert!

Goggles Alert!
It is our club and Lacrosse Vic’s policy that goggles be worn by all junior girls. That is, at all junior and senior training and games, goggles are to be worn. This rule will be enforced by the club.
The consequence of not wearing goggles will be no participation in any activity using a ball. Please get your goggles on and respect this important safety rule.
